What we believe…

Liberty Baptist Church, Wartburg, TennesseeLiberty Baptist Church affirms the Bible as the perfect, inerrant, and sufficient guide for the faith and practice of our congregation. The Baptist Faith and Message 2000 of the Southern Baptist Convention gives a fuller expression of our beliefs (www.sbc.net).

Our deepest hope is for each person to have a personal relationship with Jesus Christ as their personal Savior and Lord. As Southern Baptists we are a strong supporter of the Cooperative Program that funds missionaries and their work around the world.

Ways to join our church…

  1. Baptism – Those who accept Jesus Christ as their Savior may join our church by being baptized by immersion.
  2. Promise of Letter – Those who are members of another SBC church may join our church by transferring their membership to our church
  3. Statement of Faith – Those who are not a member of an SBC church but have been baptized by immersion as a believer can join in this manner.

Missions & Outreach

We strongly support the Cooperative Program of the Southern Baptist Convention.  The SBC has over 8,000 missionaries sharing the gospel with the world.  We also support our local Baptist association, Big Emory.  Through the local association, churches are able to provide training and support as our churches reach out to our community.

We support a local ministry called the “Storehouse Ministry Center.” This ministry helps by providing clothes and food to those in economic distress. Our congregation provides many volunteers for this ministry and supports the ministry financially.  Each year a Christmas toy give-away is sponsored by Storehouse and conducted at our Activities Center.
