October has been a busy month for the Frick family. On October 5, our younger son John got married to Ashley Reid, giving us not only a new daughter-in-law but two delightful grandchildren, Grace and Jackson. I was honored to preside over the ceremony held at the chapel at Callaway Gardens. We were thankful that Nathan, Amber and the girls were state-side so that they could be at the ceremony.

The following week Nathan, Amber, and the girls were able to join us for a couple of days at Dollywood. We don’t get to spend a lot of time with them since they serve the Lord overseas, so we like to take advantage of every opportunity to be with them. Several families in our church are taking fall vacations right now. This is an important time for families to recharge their batteries before the flurry of activities that take place in the weeks ahead.

Speaking of activities ahead, our church family is looking forward to the Trunk-R-Treat and Fall Festival next Sunday night. Many families from our community join us the last Sunday night of October each year to receive candy, play on the bounce houses, and enjoy the time of fellowship. Please pray that the Lord will draw many families to us on October 27.

Thanks for listening,

Pastor Paul Frick
